Meet Justine

Justine Waldram, Licensed Midwife

Justine has a deep desire to help women have the birth experience they want and need. Her efforts as a midwife focus on offering personal care to everyone she serves. Each pregnancy and birth is unique and she strives to treat it as such.

Screening people throughout pregnancy to ensure optimum health and low risk level for out of hospital birth is a key component in the care Justine provides. Proper nutrition--including whole foods and avoiding Western American/processed foods--is crucial to sustaining a healthy pregnancy and preparing for a successful birth. Exercise, childbirth education, chiropractic and acupuncture are also important components in maintaining a healthy pregnancy.

Justine has many close friends and family members that have endured unwanted interventions and surgical births. Because of this, and other reasons, she is passionate and committed to help families have safe and comfortable births. Birth can be a memorable and amazing part of a person's life. As a licensed midwife in this community, Justine is honored to be a part of such a personal experience in so many people’s lives. 

Through her years of experience, Justine has become an expert in normal, natural birth. She knows that it takes patience and time for labor to progress. She knows how to best support women in the trying stages of labor and birth. Women and birthing people should move, eat, drink, feel safe and loved in their birthing experience. Justine is there for her clients every step of the way.

Justine is first and foremost a wife and mother. She and her husband, Jeff, have welcomed four babies into their family. They had wonderful home births in the Five Cities with the assistance of Justine's midwife friends. Justine enjoys horseback riding, being outdoors, surfing and savoring time with friends and family in this beautiful beach town.

Justine is recognized by the Medical Board of California as a Licensed Midwife and the North American Registry of Midwives as a Certified Professional Midwife. Her license number is LM 406.
